Betty Jane Mahan, 82, Fort Smith died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in her home. She was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Joseph Shelvy Holland Sr. and Clara Elizabeth Delap Holland.
She was an LPN at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center for 19 years and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, cousin and friend.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor William Couch of Knoxville, Tenn. officiating. Burial will be at Barling Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Lincks and her husband, Jimmie of Richardson, Texas; a sister, Irene Thompson of Ft. Smith; nephew, Ross Holland of Arkoma, OK; two grandchildren, Mark Lincks of McKinney, Texas and Tara Hickman of Dallas; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia Lincks and Jackson Hickman.
Pallbearers will be Larry Holland, Marvin Holland Jr., Joe Burton, David McMahon Jr., George Vinson and John Hale.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Holland and James Culpepper.
