Alta Steelman Lee, 92, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 in a local hospital.
She was a retired registered nurse from St. Edwards Hospital and a member of the First Lutheran Church of Fort Smith. She was a graduate of the Sparks Memorial Hospital School of Nurses in 1943 and specialized in obstetrics until her retirement from St. Edwards in 1991.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jean S. Lee.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Lee of Fort Smith; one sister Virgie Ingram of Fort Smith; eleven nieces and nephews including Tanna Lee Richard and Bill Steelman both of Fort Smith.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday September 6, 2013 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial in Barling City Cemetery.
