SMITHVILLE — Willie Kathleen Durham Sisk, 83, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
She was born Dec. 3, 1930, in Jesup to William Claude and Annie Smith Durham. She was a homemaker and worked as deputy circuit clerk for Lawrence County for 20 years. She was a member of the Eli Lindsey Methodist Church in Jesup.
She loved to sew and travel, her favorite city being New Orleans. She loved to watch volleyball and the Arkansas Razorbacks, but her greatest passion was visiting with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Sisk; a son, Larry Blake Sisk; brothers, Boyce and Terry Durham; and nephews, Justin Durham and Nagel Britt.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Gramlich (Fred) of Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Kaye Sisk of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Joe Tillman (Angel), Jamie Pflaumer (Mike), Nathan Henson (Amber), Breanna Newby-Sisk (Nikki), and Katie Dillon (Matt); and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Eli Lindsey Methodist Church in Jesup.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the church with John Stoll and her nephew, John Durham, officiating.
Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery near Strawberry under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, "The Durham Boys," Denny, Mike, Jim, Sloan, Mitchell, Mark and Kevin; and nieces, Teresa Durham and Karen Durham Britt.
Honorary pallbearers will be David, Andy and Courtney Durham, Nick and Rick Hill, and Robbie Mize.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Bernards Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), 225 E. Jackson Ave., Jonesboro 72401.
