James the son of Luther F and Allifair (Schlueter) Reaves. Lena the daughter of Willie and Donnie (Harville) Smith.


Lena Reaves Meadows, of Deerfield Beach, Florida departed this life on May 5, 2013 after a brief illness.

She was born May 14, 1920 near Augusta, AR; daughter of the late Willie and Donnie Harville Smith.

Early in her life she was a "Rosie the Riveter" welder in the shipping yards during WWII. After the war, she moved to California and worked in California's first ever McDonald's. Later in life she moved back to Arkansas and worked at the Cleo Wrapping Factory and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Farley of Dothan, Alabama and Carla Reaves McAuliffe of Deerfield, Florida and one son, James Paul Reaves Jr. of Alexandria, Virginia; 9 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren; She also leaves 4 Nephews and 2 nieces; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Paul Reaves, Sr. by whom she was buried and her second husband, Wiley C. Meadows, who rests in Craighead County, AR
