Nancy Katherine Norman, 73, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mrs. Norman was born August 25, 1938 in Greenwood, Mississippi to the late William M. Duke and the late Lucille Tarlton Duke. Mrs. Norman worked for a number of years as a circuit court reporter for the First Judicial District and she was a member of the West Helena United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James W. Norman; two sons, James W. “Brother” Norman, Jr. of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina and John W. Norman (Michelle) of Helena; eight grandchildren, Katie Norman, Betsy Norman, Eryn Norman, Drake Norman, Katherine Norman, Tanner Norman, Taylor Norman and Dillon Wiggons; one brother, W.M. “Bill” Duke, Jr. (Lela) of Cabot, Arkansas; and a very special friend, Margaret Kirk of Lexa, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Winfred “Bud” Norman; and a sister, Ruby Duke.

Graveside services for Nancy Norman will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be held Monday prior to the service from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Roller-Citizens.

Honorary pallbearers are Edward Schieffler, Carvel Fitzhugh, Raymond Hill, Tanner Norman, Drake Norman, Dillon Wiggins, Nathaniel Franklin, Jessie Blakely and Leon Kirk.
