Ruby Reynolds Cotton, 91 of Greenbrier, passed away Monday August 12, 2013. She was born August 13, 1921 in Greenbrier to the late Coy Reynolds and Rena Castleberry Reynolds. She was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of seventy-five years Shannon Cotton, son Melton Cotton (Clara) of Greenbrier, two daughters, Karen Hairston (late husband Larry) of Conway and Cloedean Scroggins (Gary) of Greenbrier, four sisters, Exine Hall of Damascus, Montine Nichols of Conway, Euna Mae Garrett and Glady Black both of Greenbrier, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Amon Reynolds.
Services are 3 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Greenbrier with burial in Republican Cemetery with Rev. Myron Milholland and Bro. Danny Fagala officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Cotton, Sam Higdon, Ronnie Garrett, Randy Garrett, Marty Nolan and Cody Nolan.
Shannon M. Cotton, 94 of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 18, 2013. He was born June 9, 1919 in Greenbrier to the late Robert W. Cotton and Elizabeth Sawrie Cotton. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, an Army veteran of WWII and spent nine months in a German Prisoner of War Camp. He was a retired equipment operator with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
He is survived by his son, Melton (Clara) Cotton of Greenbrier, two daughters, Karen ( late husband Larry) Hairston of Conway and Cloedean (Gary) Scroggins of Greenbrier, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death on August 12, 2013 by his wife of seventy-five years Ruby Reynolds Cotton and his two sisters, Gerelia Reynolds and Faye Higdon.
Services are 10 am Friday, September 20, 2013 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Greenbrier with burial in Republican Cemetery with Bro. Myron Milholland and Bro. Danny Fagala officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
