Mrs. Patsy Jean Bateman, age 74, of Forrest City, died Monday at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis. She had been in poor health for the past several years.
Mrs. Bateman was born November 3, 1936, in Dumas, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Murphy Brewster and Louise Chidester Brewster. She lived in Forrest City most all of her life, was a housewife, and a Baptist.
Mrs. Bateman is survived by her mother, Louise Brewster of Wynne, three sons; Johnny Bateman of Wynne, Robert Bateman and Tommy Bateman, both of Memphis, two daughters; Patty Criss of Forrest City, and Peggy Stracner of Berryville, Arkansas, one sister, Diane Trout of Lake Village, Arkansas, one brother, Ronny Brewster of Waco, Texas, seven grandchildren; Byron Criss, Matthew Bateman, Jeremy Bateman, Eric Bateman, Tiffany Fisher, Shelby Stracner and Brianna Bateman, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Bateman will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Thursday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
