Mr. Elmer George Meyerpeter, age 83, of Forrest City, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in St. Peters, Mo. Mr. Meyerpeter was born on March 26, 1917, in St. Louis, Mo., and was the son of Cornelius Bernard Meyerpeter and Margarette Ignasiak Meyerpeter. He lived in St. Louis before moving to Forrest City, was a chauffeur and police officer, and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Mr. Meyerpeter married Virginia Mae Dearrington in 1940, and she survives him along with one son, J.W. Meyerpeter of Missouri; one daughter, Margaret Swaims of Texas; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Meyerpeter will be Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ginny Meyerpeter, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday in Bulverde,Texas. She was a long time resident of Forrest City and was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
She married Elmer Meyerpeter, and he preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and twenty-four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Graveside, 1:00 P.M., Saturday, at the Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
