Mary Elizabeth Heustess Oswalt, 87, of Forrest City, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 1999, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City. Mrs. Oswalt was born Sept. 27, 1912, in St. Francis County and was the daughter of C.W. Heustess and Ella Mae Holloway Heustess. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Oswalt; three sons, Gerald Oswalt, Glenn Oswalt and Ray Oswalt, all of Forrest City; one brother, Paul Heustess of Forrest City; one sister, Willie Holder of Memphis; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be tonight, Monday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held graveside Tuesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Forrest City Park Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
