Son of Rolfe Chambliss and Corrine Ricthis Eldridge
Paul Ritchie Eldridge joined the firm of the Forrest City Motor Company in 1946 with his father and Mr. Deaderick, after three years service in the Army Air Corps in World War II as a pilot in aerial reconnaissance. He was placed on inactive status as a First Lieutenant on Jan.1,1946. Paul graduated at Forrest City High School and later attended the University of Arkansas and Alabama. On May 22,1948, he married Miss Rebecca Rogers of Memphis, and to this union has been born a son, Pud, and a daughter, Margaret. Paul is a member of the King-Beazley American Legion Post, and has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Club, Rotary Club, and Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Methodist church, and in a partnership with his father in the Eldridge-Deaderick Farms west of Palestine.
