Elsie Eloween Vick of Colt, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, February 7, 2011 at age 82. She was born August 2, 1928 in Fulton, Mississippi to James Aden Williams and Mellie Mae Graham Williams. She and Willis Vick were married on August 10, 1951, and together they made a home for their sons. They lived in Hughes, AR, and Chicago, IL, before retiring to Colt. Elsie was an astute business woman, managing and owning a number of convenience stores. She was a member of Pine Tree Baptist Church near Colt. Family members surviving her are sons Howard M. Vick and wife Ljiljana of Hampshire, IL, and Marshal E. Vick and wife Barbara of Yorkville, IL: sisters Sharon (Maelene) Howard of Brandenton, FL, and Shirley (Earlene) Peet of Orange Springs, FL; brother Eugene Williams of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Marsha Sommers, David Vick, Jacquelen Nass, Adam and Elizabeth Vick, Jody, Christine and Caitlen Vick; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mellie Williams, her husband Willis Vick, who passed away in Forrest City in 1992; sisters Delsie I. Steele, Mary F. Wheeler-Cox, and Melba R. Broach. Services will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Tree Baptist Church near Colt, with burial following in Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City.
