Mr. Ernest (Ernie) Francis Rosica of Forrest City died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. He was 86.
Mr. Rosica was born February 17, 1920, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Herman Joseph Rosica and Marie Olcese Rosica. He married Catherine Mastronardo in 1943. He made his home in Forrest City for the past 48 years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mr. Rosica graduated from North Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He began his career at Yale & Towne in 1940. He left the city of brotherly love in 1957 when Yale & Towne opened their hoisting division in Forrest City. He retired in 1982 as General Plant Superintendent. He spent most of his retirement enjoying his grandchildren.
Mr. Rosica is survived by his wife, Catherine, along with two daughters, Cathy Davis and Linda Machen, both of Forrest City; one sister, Rita Adamietz; four grandchildren, Bradley Macray Davis of Memphis, James Matthew Machen of Fayetteville, David Leslie Machen of Fayetteville and Mark Rosica Machen of Forrest City; and one great grandchild, Christopher Macray Davis of Searcy. He was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Joseph Rosica and one grandchild Christopher Ernest Davis.

Mrs. Catherine Mastronardo Rosica of Forrest City died at her home Sunday, February 17, 2008. She was 85. Mrs. Rosica was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Philadelphia, Penn. She was the daughter of Frank Mastronardo and Grace LaRosa Mastronardo and graduated from Frankford High School in 1941. In 1943 Mrs. Rosica married Ernest Francis Rosica and he preceded her in death in 2006. She made her home in Forrest City for the past 50 years and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mrs. Rosica is survived by two daughters, Cathy Davis and Linda Machen, both of Forrest City; four grandchildren, Bradley Macray Davis of Memphis, James Matthew Machen of Fayetteville, David Leslie Machen of Fayetteville and Mark Rosica Machen of Forrest City; one great grandchild, Christopher Macray Davis of Conway. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters and one grandchild, Christopher Ernest Davis. Visitation of Mrs. Rosica is Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008 fro 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forrest Park Cemetery.
