Mrs. Mattie L. Nobles, age 60, of Forrest City, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis. Mrs. Nobles was born July 23, 1946, in Round Pond, the daughter of Joe Jimmerson and Ida Rucker Jimmerson. She is survived by her husband James Nobles of Forrest City; three daughters, Helen Chavez and Aneice Nobles both of Forrest City and Callette Nobles of Norfolk, Va.; a step-daughter, Mariyln Nobles of Forrest City; a son, Willie Nobles of Little Rock and two step-sons, Keith Nobles and David Nobles both of Forrest City. She is also survived by six sisters, Jonetha Howard, Juanita Bobo and Maxcine Artis all of West Memphis, Teola Braxton of Sanford, Fla. and Flossie Burnside, Lossie Lipcomb both of Forrest City; two brothers, Calvin Jimmerson of Forrest City and T.J. Jimmerson of West Memphis; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Nobles will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2007, from 12 to 5 p.m. at Woodhouse Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Beth Salem M.B. Church with Rev. Rayfield Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Park Cemetery.
