Julius the son of Lee Elmore Runyan and Vena J (Sneed) Runyan. Mary Catherine "Kate" (Massey) Runyan the daughter of Lonas Cleophas "Cleo" Massey and Effie Lee (Roberts) Massey.

Julius Runyan was born August 2, 1911, in Strawberry, Arkansas. He was the son of Elmer and Vena Sneed Runyan. He was a farmer for many years and later employed by John Deere. He was a member of the UAW Union #434. He retired in 1974 and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Julius Runyan entered eternal rest, March 12, 2006, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 94 years, 7 months and 10 days.

Survivors: Nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including: Bill Runyan and wife Wanda of Woodbury, Tennessee; Linda and Virgil Young of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Cindy Runyan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Larry and Pat Runyan of Truman, Arkansas.

Preceded in Death by: His parents, two wives (Mary Catherine and Jacqueline), and four brothers, Ellis, Lester, Truman and Charles

Visitation: Tuesday, March 14, 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2006, Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jan Heine officiating

Burial: Lancaster Cemetery in Strawberry, Arkansas

Active Bearers: Virgil Young, John Baney, Rodell Bower, William Runyan, Paul Runyan and Jack Coffmann
