Mrs. Helener "Punch" Holstead age 92 of Blytheville, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born to Pleas B. and Blanche Lee Wrenn Jarrett in the Lonoak Community she was a lifelong resident and an active member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church. "Punch" was a retired central office clerk at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneer Club. Her parents, husband, Thomas "Tom" Edwin Holstead, a daughter who died at birth, and sisters, Mildred Cassidy, and Edith Epperson all preceded her in death.
"Punch" is survived by nephews, Bob Cassidy and his wife Donna of Fulton, Illinois, Edwin Holstead and his wife, Cherry Sue of Blytheville, several other nieces and nephews and special friends and caregivers, Linda and Wheeler Gracy of Blytheville.
A gathering of friends and family, immediately followed by a Service of Committal will be Sunday November 27, 2011, from 1:30 to 2:30pm in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marilyn Webb officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Aldersgate Methodist Church or the charity of choice.
