R. V. (Vic) Mallory, 52, veteran Blytheville lumber man, died yesterday morning after a long illness.
Mr. Mallory had been associated with Huffman Bros. Lumber Co. for the past 28 years.
He was a native of Murray, Ky., and a member of First Baptist Church, Blytheville.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Iona Mallory, and a daughter, Loretta Mallory, both of the home here;
Another daughter, Mrs. Braxton Gill, Dell;
Two brothers, W. I. Mallory, Jr., and Don Mallory, both of Flint, Mich.; And his mother, Mrs. W. I. Mallory, Sr., of Hayti.
Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. tomorrow in First Baptist Church by the Rev. John McClanahan. Burial, Cobb Funeral Home in charge, will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Rodgers, Floyd Ash, Ottis Mackey, Louie Phillips, Frank Richardson, J. A. Thorpe;
Lon Wilhelm, Wilson Henry, Marvin Razer, Jimmy Gill, Jimmy Maxwell and Carlos Bevill.
His Sunday school class will be honorary pallbearers.

Iona Mallory, 79, died Sunday at her daughter's residence in Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Mallory, the widow of Victor Mallory, leaves two daughters, Millie Gill of Little Rock and Loretta Tidwell of Houston; three sisters, Lorena Woodard of Florissant, Mo., Marie Terry of Haines City, Fla., and Mildred Brown of Risco, Mo., two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
