Velma Marie “Belle” Logan, 87, of Pleasant Grove died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at a hospital in Calico Rock.
Born, December 29, 1923 in Edgemont, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Robert and Lilly (Barger) Daughtrey.
She enjoyed working in her garden and was very active in her church as a Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons: Michael Logan of Norfork, Ronald Logan of Pleasant Grove, Walter York of Silver Springs, Nevada; one daughter, Sandra Bealmear of Franklin, Tennessee; a sister, Patsy Fontenot of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Berry York; second husband, Duane Logan; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Bro. G. C. Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers are Keith Davis, Eddie Rounds, Dale Davis, Bryan King, Rickey Turner, and Bob Burns.
Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
There will be no visitation.
