Betty Hames Gray, 78, of Jacksonville died Saturday, August 11, 2012. She was born March 22, 1934 in Cushman to the late Remmel and Ida Patterson Hames. Mrs. Gray was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, Bartus M. Gray. Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughter, Beverly Brummett of Durham, North Carolina, a half sister, Marie George and good friends, Vince Capp and Wendell Nicholson. Funeral services for Mrs. Gray will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Reverend Mark McDonald officiating. Entombment will be at Chapel Pines Mausoleum under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
