Burnell Wyatt, 88, of Desha died Wednesday at the home of her daughter in Bald Knob.
She was born in Stigler, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 15, 1921 and was the daughter of William Edward Hensley and Goldie Luedna (Querry) Pool.
She was a member of the Desha Baptist Church. Burnell was very religious and she loved to read her Bible. Burnell really loved all of her family, but had a special place for her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Vincent Andrew Miles of Memphis, Tennessee; daughters: Barbara Goyette of Desha, Nancy Wyatt Poole of Batesville, Sandra Wyatt Duffel of Bald Knob; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Dean Wyatt and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Brother Troy Sharp officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Alderbrook Cemetery in Desha under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Richardson, Max Edwards, Keith Harmon, Elvis Garrett, Bob Tadlock, and Fred Bufford.
