Dawson A. Braswell, aged 74, retired businessman of Camden died in a hospital here at 8:45 a.m. Friday after a brief illness. Mr. Braswell moved to Ouachita County from Union County in 1921. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a Mason, and a Veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hettie Warnock Braswell; two sons, Pat Braswell of Camden, and Joe Ned Braswell of Magnolia; one daughter, Mrs. Marlin Roberts of Jackson, Miss., two sisters, Mrs. Mary Clark of El Dorado and Mrs. Artie Houston of Strong; seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Proctor Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom Lindley, Rev. John Miles, and Rev. Dwight West. Burial will be in Bethesda cemetery. Nephews will serve as casket bearers. The body will remain at the Funeral Home until service time. (Camden News - February 7, 1964)
