KIRKPATRICK, Charlotte HOLMAN - Mrs. Charlotte Kirkpatrick died last Friday evening at her home at No. 308 North Fifth street after a brief illness, the result of pneumonia. Mrs. Kirkpatrick had been feeble for several years but no worse than usual until a week previous when she caught a severe cold. On Tuesday it was evident that she was failing and the children were called to her bedside, all being here except one son in Idaho. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.D. Bowles. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery beside the grave of her husband, J.A. Kirkpatrick, who died in October 1910. Charlotte Holman was born May 14, 1839 in Rush county, Ind. and was married to J.A. Kirkpatrick in 1866. To them were born five children, all of whom are living: Miss Annie Kirkpatrick, who lived with her mother; Ed Kirkpatrick of Oklahoma City; John Kirkpatrick of Springfield, Mo.; Frank Kirkpatrick of Peirce City, Mo. and Wm. Kirkpatrick of Marble Creek, Idaho. They moved from Indiana to Peirce City, Mo. in 1884 where they resided until they came to Rogers in 1910. Mr. Kirkpatrick died a few months later. The deceased was a life-long member of the Christian church and was always a faithful Christian worker, a devoted mother and wife. Miss Kirkpatrick will go to Springfield and make her home for the present, at least, with her brother, John Kirkpatrick, who moved there from Rogers the first of the year.
