Arlen "Randy" Stafford, 86, of Garfield, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at his home. He was born March 13, 1922, in Magazine, Ark., to Noah Stafford and Minnie Spain Stafford.
He was a career military man, retiring as a major in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing his fresh vegetables with others.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Hughes Stafford; and a brother, Arvil Stafford.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard Stafford of Virginia, Kevin Stafford of Boston, Mass., and Phillip Stafford and Wei Stafford of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Gina Stafford of Bella Vista, Ark.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Lorraine Hughes Stafford, 81, of Garfield, died November 29, 2007, at her home.
She was born, December 9, 1925 in Hindsville to Ruby V. Hughes and Georgia Phillips.
She was a horse breeder and a member of the Arabian Horse Association of NWA. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Randy of the home. Three sons, Richard Stafford of Virginia, Kevin Stafford of Massachusetts and Phillip Stafford and wife Wei of Phoenix, one daughter, Gina Stafford of Bella Vista; one brother, Roger Hughes of Green Forest; one sister, Mary McLelland of Winter Haven, Florida, three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Services will be at 10a.m. Friday at Son's Memorial Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in Buckeye Cemetery.
