Dorothy Kirk Underwood Rowe, 72, of Texarkana, Texas, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in a local hospital.
Ms. Rowe was born April 5, 1937, in Blytheville, Ark. She was owner and operator of City Cafe, formerly worked at the Kettle Restaurant, Little Rock, and a member of The Over the Hill Gang and Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rowe.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Dwayne Underwood of Atlanta, Texas; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Marilyn and Don Clark of Llano, Texas, Debbie and Jessie Boyett of Manila, Ark., and Crystal and John Pratt and Janice Austin of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Entombment will be at a later date at Dogwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Blytheville, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
