Rothel Edward Lane, 62, of Malvern, died in a hospital there Monday morning. He was a former resident of Camden, a retired oiler with International Paper Company, and a Methodist. He was a member of Camden Lodge No. 11. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Thomas Lane of Malvern; three sons, Dr. Billy F. Lane of Pocahontas, Dr. Herb Lane of Jonesboro, and Elbert A. Lane of Great Falls, Mont.; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Lou Jones of Malvern, and Mrs. Bobby Sue Green of Iowa; five sisters, Mrs. Era Wilson, Mrs. Ray Cranford, and Mrs. Floyd Haynie of Camden, Mrs. W. R. Gilbert of Malvern and Mrs. Ray Brown of Little Rock; two brothers, Hardy Lane of Benton, and Minor Lane of Farmerville, La.; 14 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Proctor's Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. (Camden News - November 28, 1972)
