John Milton Haynes, 80, of Louann, died Sunday night in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Ouachita County, he was a veteran of World War I, a Mason, and a member of the Fairview Methodist Church. Survivors include a brother, Garland Haynes of Hope; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden with the Rev. Oscar Haire officiating. Burial was in Mount Horeb Cemetery under the direction of Proctor's. (El Dorado Times - August 3, 1971)
