J. K. P. Burnett, aged about 70 years, died Monday afternoon at his home about 4 miles north of here. Interment was made the following day at the Cove cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Eveans and attended by a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives. He is survived by his wife and eight children and several grandchildren. His children were all present at his death. Mr. Burnett filled a position in the Arkansas Legislature for several years and was a prominent local lawyer, farmer and a pioneer of this county.
