Margaret Jane "Maggie" Duncan was born March 11, 1863 Wyandote Co, KS. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Clark at Pettigrew, Arkansas. Maggie married Simon Redmon "Bud" Keck born September 10, 1858 Jordan, Madison Co, AR, the son of Isaac Keck and Desdemona Angeline Ann "Desty" Smith. All of them are buried in the Cove Cemetery. Margaret had six children: William Fletcher Keck md 1 Dora Elizabeth Amanda Ogden, md2 Faye Mayo Yount. Fletcher and Fay moved to Westville, OK; Della Russell Keck md Arthur Shrum. They lived Pettigrew, AR; Isaac Harrison "Ike" Keck md Martha Ellen Petree. They lived on his father's place until he retired, then moved to Cassville, MO and later moved to the Fort Worth area, TX; Pearl Bar Keck md Myrtle Haynes had a farm near Pettigrew and retired to Pettigrew. They didn't have children. Frances Penelope "Nep" Keck md James Edgar-Edward Clark. She lived near Pettigrew with her family in the house she bought with her share of the estate of her parents. Daniel Huston "Dan" Keck married Chloe Haught. Both attended school in Huntsville, AR. They married and he taught school at the Cove School house then lived for a time in OK moving back to AR on the farm adjoining that of his brother, Ike Keck. The home of Bud and Maggie burned and they lost most of what they had. Their boys built back a two story house. Ike Keck farmed entirely with horses as his father had. There was a very large oak barn still standing in 1997. The house burned after 1970.
