DYESS — Merline Iva Hall, 81, of Dyess died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at SMC Regional Medical Center at Osceola.
She was born Sept. 23, 1926, at Eaglette and was a homemaker and retired from American Greetings. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and served on the Dyess reunion and cemetery committees. She was also a postal employee.
Survivors include her daughters, Faye (Dan) Thorpe of Dyess and Judy (Ricky) Jewell of Benton; sons, James (Lynda) Hall of Proctor, John (Darlene) Hall of Chesterfield, Va., and Bob (Margaret) Hall of Beebe; daughter-in-law, Louise Womble; special son and daughter, Maxey and Deb Austin of Dyess; sister, Pauline House of Bono; brothers, Derrell Nutt of Kingsland and Bobby (Shirley) Nutt of Pontiac, Mich.; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Hall; son, Thomas Womble; sister, Marie Beard; brothers, Billy Jack Nutt and Johnnie Nutt; and great-granddaughter, Ashley Bartlett.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Central Baptist Church at Dyess with burial in Potter Cemetery at Lepanto. Mike Gonzales will officiate.
Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 at Wilson's Osceola Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Dyess Fire Department or Central Baptist Church at Dyess.
