William Estes Kinman, Jr. was born 1 January 1922 in Lexa, Arkansas, the son of William Estes, Sr. and Myrtle Sawyer Kinman. W.E. grew up with one sister, Ella Mae, and three brothers, Flynn, Teed, and Ken. He graduated from Lexa High School in the Class of 1940. Before joining the Air Force, he worked as a PCA officer in Marianna, Arkansas.
W. E. was inducted 5 February 1943 and served unti119 December 1945. He worked as a Supply Sergeant in England and France. He was awarded several medals, but a fire destroyed many of his records.
W. E. married Mary Elizabeth Bowers and their children are W .E., III (Kiki) and Tanya. W. E. owned and operated a grocery store, and then was owner and operator the Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company in Wynne for many years. He enjoyed fishing, reading and gardening.
William Estes Kinman, Jr. died 13 August 1992 and was buried in Wynne beside his son.
