Robert Jackson "Jack" Goats was the son of Charles Alvin "Charlie" Goats and Zexie Estelle Stephens. He was married to Arlene Eva Maddox on November 12, 1932 in Texas.

Arlene Goats, 93, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Morrison Memorial Chapel with Damon Admire and Rodger Lewis, great-nephews, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Arlene Goats was born July 3, 1914, in Joy to Albert and Lillie Maddox. On Nov. 12, 1932, she married Robert "Jack" Goats who preceded her in death in 1976. Arlene and Jack were house parents at Abilene Boys Ranch and American Legion Home School for Children at Ponca City, Okla. She also had worked as an entree cook at Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Arlene had been a resident of Dumas since 1979 and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Ola Minton of Dumas, Lucy Floyd of Mena, Ark., and Zona Deloof of Phoenix.
