HENRY, Eliza - Mrs. Eliza Henry departed this life July 16, 1893. Sister Henry was born in Hawkins, Tenn. June 15, 1837 and was at the time of her death 56 years of age. Although a native of Tennessee she spent the greater part of her life in Arkansas, her father having moved here when she was a young girl. She leaves a husband and one son and numerous relatives in this and other states. When about 15 years of age she professed religion and joined the Baptist church and lived faithful to her calling until death. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a zealous christian. She loved the church and rejoiced in its prosperity. Cheerful in disposition, devoted to her friends and ever mindful of the happiness of others, she was beloved by many and respected by all. For many months before her death she was a very great sufferer but bore her affliction with patience, ever trusting in her Savior. The funeral services were conducted by Eld. Boyd at Friendship church July 17th where in the presence of many friends her body was laid to rest. To the bereaved husband and little son we would say, put your trust in God for he alone can comfort you. A Brother. July 25, 1893.
