LOWELL — Burt E. Henry, age 89, of Lowell, died Nov. 8, 2010, in Springdale. He was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Datto, Ark., the son of James M. and Sarah Bowers Carrier Henry.
He attended Calvary Freewill Baptist Church and was a former owner of a backhoe business He worked for the CCC Corps during the Depression. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends, listening to bluegrass music and working.
He is survived by one son, Ronnie Henry of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Patsy Gail Henry of Amarillo, Texas: a niece, who was also his caregiver, Janice Hull and Miri of Lowell; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Clark Snow officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Teen Challenge Ranch, 20282 Boy's Home, Morrow, AR 72749.
