Prairie Grove — Earl Mitchell, 45, of Cane Hill, died in a Fort Smith hospital Friday. Born Oct. 24, 1923 at Swain, the son of Robert and Allie Thomas Mitchell.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Bertha Mitchell of the home; three sons, Gaylon, Steven and Terry Lynn, all of the home; one step-daughter, Mrs. Glenda Hines of Cane Hill; one step-son, Billy Joe Lee of Kansas City, Kan.; his father of Swain; two brothers, Vester of Woodriver, Ill., and Arlye of Alton, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Edgmon and Mrs. Alieta Adams, both of Swain; four grandchildren.

Funeral service will he at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dutch Mills Baptist Church with burial in Dutch Mills Cemetery under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Bertha Mitchell, 66, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, March 30, 1994, at Washington Regional Medical Center.

Born April 7, 1927, at Swain, she was the daughter of Pleas and Betty Thomas.

Survivors are three sons, Terry Mitchell and Billy Lee, both of Lincoln, and Gaylon Mitchell of Prairie Grove; a daughter, Glenda Jones of Prairie Grove; two brothers, Garrett Thomas of Fayetteville and Loren Thomas of Rhineland, Mo.; three sisters, Tempy Farmer of Prairie Grove, Fern David of Hermann, Mo., and Virgie Lee of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Luginbuel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Uselton officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Mills Cemetery.
