LEISTER, Sue L. VANZANDT - Died December 8th at 10:20 a.m. at the family residence, corner Second and and Elm streets, Mrs. Sue L., wife of Dr. W.L. Leister. The funeral was held at the home of the deceased on Saturday afternoon at three o'clock. The funeral services was conducted by Rev. Milo Hobart and Rev. Farley. Mrs. E.S. Warren also made a few appropriate remarks. The pall bearers were members of the W.O.W. lodge and were H.A. Oakley, J.W. Stroud, W.R. Cady, L.K. Fesler, J.W. Puckett and E.M. Funk. The deceased was born near Princeton, Indiana May 29, 1850 at the farm of her parents, James and Mary VanZandt and was the youngest of seven children. Miss Sue L. VanZandt married William Leister, the latter then of Oakland City, Indiana, on September 16, 1869. Five children survive the subject of this sketch: Gail, now Mrs. John W. Webb of Compton, Mo.; Loyd, Stanley, Marie and Josephine. Mrs. Leister professed full faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church nearly all the days of her earthly career and was an acceptable member of said church in Rogers at the time of her demise. Her daily walk and life before her family and friends, ever above reproach, won and retained to her undying love of her own and the highest respect of others.
