WILLIAMSON, Anderson - {from Providence) Anderson Williamson was born in Madison, Jefferson county, Indiana September 1, 1842. Departed this life November 24, 1929, age eighty-seven years, 2 months and twenty-four days. He served in the Union army during the last year of the Civil war and was honorably discharged in Macon, Ga. 1865. He was married to Julia Jenkins in 1866. To this union were born three children, two girls and one boy. One daughter died in early childhood and the son, Charlie Williamson, met death by accident in the coal mines at nineteen years old. The daughter who survives is Mrs. Emma Baldridge of Wichita, Kansas. His first companion departed this life June 25, 1874. He came to Benton county, Ark. in the year of 1880 and was married to Mary Sophronia Baldridge May 20, 1883. To this union were born 11 children. He is survived by his wife and seven children. The children are G.T. Williamson, Garfield, Ark.; Mrs. Effie Brothers, Rich Valley, Ind.; N.W. Williamson, Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Addie Coverdell, Ketchum, Okla.; Otto Williamson, Tahoka, Tex.; Clint and Joe Williamson, both of Tulsa, Okla.; G.T., N.W., Clint, Joe and his wife were all present at his death. Uncle Anderson, as he was called, joined the Primitive Baptist church at Providence near Garfield, Ark. July 11 and was baptized by Elder W.J. Taylor Aug. 12, 1891.
