Julia Evans, 91, of Solgohachia, died Friday, Nov. 17. She was born Nov. 13, 1904 in Birdtown, a daughter of William
and Nancy Gordon-Deaton. She was the widow of Floyd Evans Sr., a member of the Lone Grove Missionary Baptist Church and attended the Morrilton Senior Adult Center. Survivors include one son, Floyd Evans Jr., of Solgohachia; one daughter, Marie Hagear of Merced Calif.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were Monday, at 2 p.m. at the Bob Neal and Sons Morrilton Funeral Chapel with Bro. Charlie Johnson and Bro. Robert Payne officiating. Burial was in the Kilgore Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glen Powell, Gerald Powell, Charles Conley, John Morrow, Clyde Ruff and Glen Sledge. Memorials may be made to the Lone Grove Missionary Baptist Church or the Morrilton Senior Adult Center.
