GARFIELD — Gene Beard, 61, of Garfield died July 29, 2002, at his home. He was born May 5, 1941, in Rogers to A.H. "Peco" and Hattie Leora Bell Mahurin Beard. He was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a farmer, a Navy veteran and was a truck driver.
Survivors include two sons, Franklin Eugene Beard of Knoxville, Iowa, and James Michael Beard of Garfield; one daughter, Misty Dawn Beard of Se1igman, Mo.; six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in Mahurin Cemetery at Garfield.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
