MELBOURNE — Rogie Jones Wren, 87, of Melbourne died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, in a Batesville hospital.
Born May 31, 1923, in Lafferty, she was the daughter of Jimmy and Ethel Moser Jones. She was united in marriage to Homer Wren on Jan. 8, 1949, in Batesville. They were retired farmers.
Survivors include a sister, Villa R. Gillihan of Melbourne; seven nephews; and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett Jones and Estes Jones, both of Mount Pleasant, and Edgar Jones of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Bonnie Jones Lewis of Wichita; two nephews, J.D. Jones and Eddie Lewis, both of Wichita; and a niece, Mary Smith of Washington.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Finis Brewer and Chuck Crow officiating. Burial will be in Reeves Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Lewis, Vernon Claxton, Donnie Gillihan, Bobby Jones, Danny Gillihan and John Kuykendall.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
