Ciscero C "Bud" Cox, 79, of 306 East Airwood, East Alton, Ill., a former resident of Doniphan, Mo., died Thursday at the Woodriver Township Hospital in Woodriver, Ill.
Born in Pocahontas, he was a retired employee of LaClead Steel, St. Louis. Survivors include two daughters, Esta Lee Grable of East Alton and Diana Sue Moeller of Maples, Fla.; one brother, Virgil Cox of Corning; five sisters, Virgie Clay of Arizona; Freda Lane of California, Marjorie Story of Pocahontas, and Zemurue Ostercamp and Lois Reed, both of Pontiac, Mich.; eight grandchildren; nine great granchildren and one great great granchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Lee Wooldridge Cox.
Funeral services will be at 2 Sunday afternoon in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas.
Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas.
Visitation will be from 4 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Opal Lee Cox, 74 of Doniphan, Mo., died Monday at Doctors' Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was born in Dalton.
Survivors include her husband, Ciscero Cox of the home; two daughters, Esta Gravle of East Alton, Ill., and Diana Moeller of Naples, Fla.; one brother Earl Wooldridge of Deltona, Fla., eight grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 in the chapel of mcNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas with Larry Bashaw officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.
