Ruth M. Tolleson, 74, Olathe, Kan., and former resident of Siloam Springs, died Dec. 4 in Olathe. Born Oct. 26, 1902, in Yale, Okla., she had lived in Olathe for 2 1/2 years, moving there from Siloam Springs. A retired secretary of First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs, she spent 30 years in religious work. She served the First Baptist state training department in Little Rock for nine years and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Bill Potter of Olathe; two sons, Bob M. Tolleson, Hope, and Bill R. Tolleson, Tupelo, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Shroyer and Mrs. Beatrice Griffin, both of Siloam Springs; three brothers, Bill and Earl Phillips, Siloam Springs, and Raymond Phillips, Modesto, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs with Rev. Jess Cheatham, Rev. James A. Griffin and Rev. Russell Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
