MOCK, Mrs. J.W. - {from Bethel) We received the sad news of the death of Mrs. Mock Thursday night. The bereaved ones certainly have the sympathy of all in this community. The deceased had been a resident of this community for a long time.

{from Chamberlain) Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hurt and little son of Barnsdall, Okla., who have been here during the sickness and death of his mother, Mrs. J.W. Mock, returned to their home Tuesday.

(from Chamberlain) Mrs. J.W. Mock died quite suddenly at her home Thursday night. She had been ill for some time but her death came unexpected and the community was shocked to hear of her sudden passing. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home and burial was in the Siloam Springs cemetery with Leon Wasson in charge of the funeral. Mrs. Mock was a good friend and neighbor and she will be sadly missed, leaving many friends to mourn her passing. We feel especially sorry for her son, Walter Hurt, and family for they lived so close to her for so many years, and the little grandchildren will miss their dear grandmother so much; also to her sister, Mrs. Yates, we extend our sympathy. Besides her husband she leaves three sons and ten grandchildren, a sister and brother. The family has the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
