The funeral for Mrs. W.C. Rainey, who died at her home yesterday about noon, was held this afternoon at the residence at 3 o'clock by Rev. Arthur DuLaney, pastor of the First Baptist church. Mary Theresa Barnes was born Feb. 3, 1868 and came to Arkansas in 1881. She was married to W.C. Rainey Feb. 11, 1886. To this union 7 children were born, 5 of whom survive her. She is survived by her husband, W.C. Rainey, 4 daughters, one son, a grandson, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mrs. Rainey joined the Baptist church at an early age and has always been a true and devoted Christian. She was a kind mother and wife and she filled a place in life that will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

RAINEY, Mary Theresa BARNES - {from The Fayetteville Democrat} Miss Mabel Rainey of the University registrar's office and Misses Myrtle and Anna Barnes of the City Hospital nursing staff attended the funeral service of their mother and aunt, Mrs. Theresa Barnes Rainey, who died Thursday afternoon at the residence in Rogers. Mrs. Rainey was survived by her husband, W.C. Rainey; four daughters, Mabel of Fayetteville, Olive of Rogers, Lucille of Hominy, Oklahoma and Mrs. Bessie Rainey Coleman of New Mexico; also one son, Clarence Rainey of Rogers. In addition she leaves three brothers, J.C. Barnes of Colorado, Perry Barnes of California and Horace Barnes of Huntsville, Ark. All relatives except those living in the distant states were present at the funeral which was conducted by Rev. Arthur De Laney. Mrs. Rainey was born February 3, 1868 and was married to Will C. Rainey in 1886.

Funeral services for Mrs. W.C. Rainey, who died Thursday morning, December 15 at her home in the southwest part of town, were held Friday afternoon at three o'clock at the residence. Rev. A.A. Du Laney, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery. Mary Theresa Barnes Rainey was born at Rariton, Illinois February 3, 1868 and came to Arkansas with her parents in 1881. She was married to William Calvin Rainey February 11, 1884 and was the mother of seven children, five of whom survive her. She had been in ill health for some time but became critically ill Thursday morning about nine o'clock. She joined the Baptist church early in life and was a devoted Christian.

RAINEY, Ruth B. - (from New Hope) This community was saddened by the death of Ruth B. Rainey, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Rainey, which occurred at her home Wednesday, Nov. 20, 8 p.m. She fell a victim of the dreaded flu-pneumonia after a brief illness. She leaves to mourn her loss besides her parents four sisters and one brother and a host of friends. She was 26 years of age; was converted and joined the Baptist church at the age of 15. She had lived here about six years, coming here with her parents from Huntsville and to know her was to love her. Rev. Bowles conducted a brief funeral service at the grave Thursday p.m. and she was laid to rest in the Rogers cemetery
