ROGERS -- Fred Armstrong, 88, of Rogers died Feb. 4, 2011, in McKenzie, Tenn. He was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Caney, Okla., to Henry Washington and Anna Heath Armstrong.

He served in the Navy.

Survivors include a son, Darrell Armstrong of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Bettye Porterfield of Bastrop, Texas, and Debbie Alexander of Gleason, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Rogers.

Burial will be in the Rogers Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

ROGERS — Louise Hollis Armstrong, 83, of Rogers died April 11, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Quitaque, Texas, to Elmer Lee and Myrtle Thompson Hollis. She married Fred Armstrong on Aug. 21, 1938. She was a bookkeeper, a tax accountant and a church secretary. She enjoyed sewing and working in her flower beds. She taught Sunday school and sang in the choir and was a member of Rogers First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Darrell Armstrong Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Fred Armstrong of the home; one son, Darrell Armstrong and wife Edeana of Lewisville, Texas; two daughters, Bettye Porterfield and husband Ken of Bastrop, Texas, and Debbie Alexander of Rogers; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Hart, Brian Armstrong, Ed Pennebaker, Dale Webster, Paul Platter, Elvin Banz and James Clark.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Rogers with Alan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Rogers First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 1599 W. Olive St., Rogers, 72756.
