Priscilla Alden Darnell passed peacefully from this life on April 11, 2008, in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born on July 5,1924, in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.

She was married to the late Elmo Darnell for 55 years. He preceded her in death in 1997. During his years in the Air Force, they moved frequently. Before moving to Searcy ten years ago, Priscilla had lived at Fairfield Bay for nineteen years.

She had a deep interest in researching and recording the family's history. Her other interests included doing jigsaw puzzles, playing cards with dear friends and family, knitting, and crocheting (especially making baby blankets for great, great grandbabies yet to be born).

She is survived by five of her children: Patty Barrett of Searcy; Tom Darnell (wife Connie) of Orange Park, Florida; Steve Darnell of Bloomingdale, New Jersey; Sue Ruley (husband Jim) of Eureka, Montana; and Jay Darnell of Searcy; as well as six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great, great granddaughter.

Priscilla was preceded in death by sons Tony and Glenn Darnell.
Her children have gathered to celebrate her life.
