Jack J. Newton, 68, of 1246 Moses, died today. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Newton are incomplete at this time. Educated in Camden schools, Mr. Newton was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is a former teacher and coach and was a member of the Razorback Club. A retired employe of the local post office, Mr. Newton served several years as assistant postmaster. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucelle Smith Newton; two sons, W. Jack Newton of Boone, N.C., and Jim Newton of Poughkepsie, N.Y.; to sisters, Mrs. Kate Levay of Camdeb and Mrs. Pete Creed of Pine Bluff and five grandchildren. (Camden News - October 15, 1975)
