The Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, January 1, 1981:
Mrs. Myrtle Rout Needham, aged 64 of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, December 26, 1980. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband, R.S. Needham; a daughter, Mrs. Bob Burns of Mountain View; three brothers, Robert R. Rout and Elvin Coolidge Rout, both of Mount Pleasant and John Wilby Rout of Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Sipe of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Lucy Hall of Newark and Mrs. Vicie Bussie of Washington, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Reeves Chapel. Burial was at Reeves Cemetery by Davies Batesville Funeral Home.
