Marie Tanner Parker
FARMINGTON — Marie Tanner Parker, 71, of Farmington died March 23, 2008, at the Fayetteville City Hospital. She was born March 7, 1937, at Fayetteville to Oval and Ruth Karnes Tanner.
She was a member of the Little Elm Missionary Baptist Church in Farmington.
She graduated from West Fork High School in 1955 then graduated from American School of Practical Nursing in San Diego in 1958. She retired from Washington Regional Medical Center after 45 years of service as a licensed practical nurse and PT technician. She enjoyed gardening and square dancing. She owned and operated the Parker Lakeview Ranch (PLR Farms) for more than 45 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Olan Parker.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, J.O. Parker of the home; one son, Jerry Paul Moyer and his wife Dyanna of Lincoln; one sister, Betty Burchett of Miami, Okla.; one brother, O.L. Tanner of West Fork; special niece Janice Bartholomew of Prairie Grove; two granddaughters, Cheyenne Moyer and Caleigh Sue Moyer.
Family will receive friends 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bartholomew, Garry Bartholomew, Scott Tanner, Doug Tanner, David Clayton, Gary Vanoverschelde.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion Cemetery Association c/o Sara Lee Anderson 486 Madison 8501 Hindsville, 72738.
