Edward Earl Baker, 82, of Crossett died Sunday, October 16, 2004. Born December 28, 1921, in Marion, LA, to John and Lula Evans Baker, he was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army, receiving the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He was a retired millwright for Georgia-Pacific and a member of the Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Baker is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Baker; his parents, one brother, J. C. Baker; and three sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Irene Watt Atkins and Mary Smith.
