Mrs. Mary Agnes Hayes Jones, 96, of Parkdale died Saturday, March 31, 2007. Mrs. Jones was a native of Litchfield, Kentucky and a resident of Parkdale for many years. She was a homemaker, retired school bus driver and a member of the Parkdale Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Scott Lee Jones in 1986; her parents, Ben & Ethyl Metcalf Hayes; three brothers, Cecil, Charlie & Curtis Hayes; four sisters, Bennie Lee Morris, Thelma Hayes, Pauline Jones and Teresa Cone. She is survived by two sons, Jack Jones and wife, Sally, of Asherville, Ohio and J.W. Jones and wife, Mary, of Union, MS; four daughters, Louise Holiday and husband, John, of Pineville, LA; Margie Maxwell and husband, Robert, Linda Myers and husband, L.D., all of Hamburg and Glenda Lambert and husband Dock, of Raymond, MS; two sisters, Irene Smith of Tyler, TX and Ethyl Mae Tankersley of Bastrop, LA; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2007 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Pullin officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons, Mark Haynes, Benji Holiday, Chase Crabtree, Blake Shipp, Christopher Compton, Scott Jones, Matt & Jimmy Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers are Bill & Frank Powell. Memorials may be made to the Beech Creek Cemetery Association, c/o Mrs. Harrison Ralph, 1639 HWY 425 South, Hamburg, AR 71646.
