Maxine Reed Rogers age 79 of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 3, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1932 in Rison, a daughter of the late William "Jack" Reed and Mary Audrey Broach Reed Ballew. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker, and enjoyed gospel singing and bowling. She also worked at the Pine Bluff Library, was a member of Union Community Club, and Pine Bluff Bowling Club. Mrs. Rogers was a faithful member of Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob K. Rogers; daughter, Becky Ann Rogers; sister Bobbie Jo Potter.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by two daughters, Jolynn Rogers Melder and husband Ricky, Deborah Rogers Smart both of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren, Brian and Audrey Strong, Mary Amber Melder, Jackie and Jacob Smart; five great grandchildren, Jake, Isabella and Abagail Strong, Tonya Aud and Jillian Hooker.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 6, at Broach Cemetery near Kingsland. Memorials may be given to Greenlee Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
